The 3rd grade recently
performed in their 2nd annual Poetry Slam! The students demonstrated
their talents by sharing a variety of poems through acting in front of the 2nd
grade. We’re sure the audience was thrilled with the show, and likely very
excited to participate in the slam next year!
A few of the 3rd graders reflected
on their performances;
Avery M. from Mrs. Keys’ class
said, “It was a great chance for us third graders to learn how to express
feelings through poetry. We learned that poetry can be expressed in different
ways, and the slam gave us ideas to make poems of our own!”
Samuel C. from Mrs. Lawson’s
class said, “It was fun to perform in front of the second graders!”
Ava J. from Mrs. Frias’ class
said, “I loved reading to the second graders and listening to my friends act
out to the poems. It was really fun!”
