In preparation for our recent MLK Day Tribute, 4th graders wrote "I Have a Dream" essays. This is one of the essays chosen for sharing at the assembly.
I have a dream that the environment will be safe, left
alone, and not polluted. Its resources shall be used wisely. Its beauty shall
be recognized. We wouldn’t have houses, desks, and paper, if trees weren’t
here. We wouldn’t have clothes or food if plants and animals weren’t here.
Everything we use in our lives comes from Mother Earth. We wouldn’t survive
without the environment! Take care of our world. You can do that by recycling,
not littering, conserving water and electricity, and most important, loving our
environment.
