The Joys of Doing Nothing By Charlotte Gilder (Asst. Principal)

This blog is for all of us parents who often feel like taxi drivers.  We pick up our children, pull through the nearest place for food, they change in the backseat of the car as we drop them off at the next activity.  Does this sound familiar?  I’m sure we’ve all been guilty of going, going, going until we can’t go anymore with our children.  Ever feel like you can’t miss an activity?  Are you already searching for all the greatest summer camps in the area?  Booking your next vacation?  Registering for dance, swim, soccer, cheer and baseball for the next 3 seasons already?

If you can relate, please read the attached article.  I hope it is as enlightening for you as it was for me. Happy reading:  http://www.scholastic.com/parents/resources/article/creativity-play/joys-doing-nothing.
