After attending the TCEA (Texas Computer Education Association) conference in February, I
came back motivated to introduce more technology into the classroom. Our
first grade class began "Quiver Fridays". Quiver in a free app
that when you print a coloring page from the website (Quivervision.com) and
color it, you are able to scan it and it comes to life in 3D. We love figuring
out what makes the best color choices and how the app picks up some mediums
(crayon) more than others (markers). After we finish demonstrating in
class via our Apple TV, we can take it home where most parents
have downloaded the app themselves. Students can show off what they
know!
