Way to go 2nd grade for using concrete models to
help students learn addition. The use of Base Ten Blocks allows students to
have a concrete example and manipulate numbers to gain true understanding of
the concepts. Our 2nd grade teachers know the importance of starting
learning at the basic level of concrete models.
