Spriit and Smiles - It's College Day at TWE by Rhonda Henderson

We love College Day! During football season, our students (and teachers) like to compare team records and embrace the friendly rivalry that the season brings. The true purpose of having this day each early dismissal day is to emphasize the importance of higher education and to develop our students' understanding of the many different colleges and opportunities that exist. We talk about the meanings of words like -mascot, major, minor, career and degree. Last year, we had individuals talk about their college experiences and plan to do that again this year. If you are interested in sharing about your career and/or college experience, please contact our counselor, Dana Ratliff. Here are a few pictures that show the smiles and spirit we shared on Friday, October 3. Our next college day will be November 7th. Get those shirts ready!
