This year, one student from each class will be chosen as embodying the Core Essential for the month in an exemplary manner. Those students will be invited to visit with a special guest reader to celebrate this honor.
On Friday, October 3, the Core Essential representatives for September had the privilege
to be honored by the Tompkins High School Varsity Cheerleaders! The
cheerleaders came as guest readers to share a story about responsibility; the
character trait highlighted during the month of September. The cheerleaders
discussed how responsibility impacts their life and their independence as high
school students. They also answered questions from TWE students. The
cheerleaders ended our time together with a cheer. TWE students seemed to be in
awe of their talents and abilities. We are very fortunate the cheerleaders were
able to join us on this special Friday. Special thanks to Cheer Coach, Mrs.
Ward for making this visit possible. Congratulations again to all the September
Core Essential recipients who showed responsibility!
